MATA will operate on a regular Saturday schedule on December 6, 2025, with a few temporary changes to keep customers and marathon runners safe.

Because the St. Jude Marathon will be moving through the downtown area, the William Hudson Transit Center will be closed until the race is complete and the Memphis Police Department gives the all-clear to reopen normal traffic.

Even though the William Hudson Transit Center will be closed, staff and security will remain on-site.
To keep customers moving, MATA will operate three Satellite Transit Centers where you can make connections and continue your trip:

1. Lamar @ Bellevue
Routes: 1, 2, 4, 12, 13, 28, 34, 36, 39, 57

2. Jackson @ Watkins
Routes: 19, 50, 52, 53

3. Chelsea @ Thomas
Routes: 8, 11, 40

Our crosstown routes — 16, 32, 37, 42, and 69 — will not be affected and will operate on their regular routes and schedules.

Shuttle buses will run between the Satellite Transit Centers to help customers make their connections during the closure.

Supervisors, security, and administrative staff will be present at each Satellite Transit Center to help riders with routes, schedules, and connections.
