Important Message: Scheduled Maintenance at William Hudson Transit Center

Willam Hudson Transit Center Sprinkler System Maintenance – Tuesday, April 15, 2025

We’re updating you on some scheduled maintenance at the William Hudson Transit Center (WHTC) that may affect your transit experience. On Tuesday, April 15, starting around 8:00 AM, our team will be repairing the exterior sprinkler system. For safety and efficient repairs, a portion of the facility will be temporarily closed:

What’s Happening?

  • Area Affected: The southbound lane (west side near the AW Willis entrance) and the adjoining sidewalk will be blocked.

  • Duration: Approximately 6 hours. If the work is completed early, we’ll reopen the area right away.

  • Timing: Work begins at 8:00 AM; after the last bus departs near midnight, cones will be set up to secure the site.

How Will This Affect Your Ride?

  • Alternate Bus Routes:

    • Buses will now enter WHTC via Shadyac Avenue (northbound) for pick up and drop off.

    • When exiting, buses will turn right onto AW Willis Avenue.

  • Access to Facilities:

    • Customer Service will remain open and accessible.

    • A designated walkway with clear signage will be provided for safe pedestrian access.

  • On-Site Assistance:

    • Friendly staff, including Road Supervisors and Security, will be present to assist you and ensure a smooth experience during the maintenance.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to improve the WHTC environment. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact customer service at 901-274-MATA.

Thank you for riding with MATA and for your patience while we complete these essential repairs!
